The agreement was signed by patroness Inara Tetereva and chairman of LCIF Olga Veilande. It states that LCIF announces to accept Project applications from all funds in Latvia, to select projects and to control financial outturn. After signing the agreement both representatives of funds met with representatives of previously supported organisations (Aloja Seniors and Staicele women creative club ‘Stazele’) and were introduced with the progress of organisations.
„ Our fund supports people and organisations, who do everything to improve their everyday lives and help other people, too” says patroness Inara Tetereva. „We are pleased to see that organisations in Aloja and Staicele successfully implemented their planned projects. Each project that has been realised is motivation for all of us and encourages to continue what we have started” points out Inara Tetereva.
„ I am very grateful to Borisa and Inara Teterevs fund for the given opportunity to see joy and pride in the eyes of participants of organisations, who put in all their effort to realise the project. We are glad that they continue to improve their activities and not stopping at the achieved, it motivates us to involve more organisations in such activities.” says chairman of the LCIF Olga Veilande.
It is an honour for Aloja district city council, that Aloja was chosen as a place where to sign agreement. It is a recognition for our active non-governmental organisations, especially to „Aloja seniors” and Staicele „Stazelei”. We are grateful to Boris and Inara Teterovs Fund and LCIF for given opportunity to implement into life initiatives of our inhabitants” acknowledges chairman of Aloja city council Dace Vilne.
Overall, mothers and seniors organisations throughout Latvia received grant in amount of 150 thousand lats. Projects are implemented within the framework of the program "Healthy and Happy", "Support for Riga’s Seniors" and "Help the Mother ".
Support for one project reached 1.8 thousand lats, while at least ten percent of the total project cost was received from municipalities or other financial resources. The total budget for one project is two thousand lats.
Since 2009 within the framework of the program "Healthy and Happy” the 20 energetic seniors organisations in many parts of Latvia have been supported, which together have received financial support around 30 thousand lats.
Within the framework of the project "Help the Mother" financial support in amount of more than 20 thousand lats received 14 non-governmental organisations for mothers, of which eight were funded for refurbishment of premises, but six organisations - the necessary equipment for lessons.
All organisations are now continuing the implementation of projects, by improving and making a safe environment for children and by promoting cooperation between mothers and their children, as well as providing quality assistance to crisis-hit for children and parents.
